Film screening event of the Award-winning Short Film “Walking Virtues”.

The film was produced by David Giardina, Nikki Chawla and Brianna McInerny. You are invited to the launch of this promising short film that was shot in the beautiful surroundings of Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center in upstate New York. The creators of the film will present their work and will be available to meet and interact with the audience.

DAVID GIARDINA
David Giardina is a singer, an award winning filmmaker and vegan animal liberation activist based in New York City. He began acting at the age of 12 with repertory companies around Connecticut including Oddfellows Playhouse and the Middletown Instructional Theater in roles ranging from Ralph in “Lord of the Flies” to Jack in “The Importance of Being Earnest”. He received a BA in theater from Hofstra University then he acted professionally in New York on TV (“As the World Turns”, “Up All Night With
Gilbert Gottfried”, “Commander USA”, the criminal of the week on “New York’s Most Wanted”) and in various movies (“Moonstruck”, “When Harry Met Sally”).
As a crooner David has performed with such pianists as Paul Bisaccia and Mark York, Mark Janus and with celebrated cabaret stars such as Steve Ross. David has also sung with swing orchestras including the Robert Lawrence Orchestra and the Todd Sullivan Orchestra. Venues have included the world famous Rainbow Room, the Algonquin Hotel, Grand Central Partnership, The Central Park Band Shell as well as command performances at the United Nations and many others.
David has also appeared Off Broadway in “The Ziegfeld Midnight Frolic” (as Eddie Cantor) and in “Vagabond Lover – The Life and Tunes of Rudy Vallee (as Rudy Vallee) and in “The Ziegfeld Follies of the Air” (as Will Rogers) at Birdland.
David wrote/directed/produced the feature film “Taffy Was Born” which won the award for Best Director and Audience Choice Award for Best Feature at  the NY International Film Festival. His trilogy “Tryptic” won the award for Best Director and Honorable Mention for Best Picture at the NoHu  International Film Festival. He is currently developing his next feature film “Will o’ the Wisp” which is a mystery/suspense drama.
NIKKI CHAWLA
Maninder aka Nikki Chawla is a Sikh American actress, professor, standup comic, writer and model raised in New York with a strong presence on both the East and West coasts, has left an indelible mark in the entertainment industry. She was nominated for the esteemed Best Supporting Actress award for her exceptional performance in Fresh Blood, showcasing her ability to captivate audiences with her compelling portrayal.
Diversifying her repertoire, Nikki Chawla has ventured into the realm of television with her appearance in the episodic series called Hiraeth, available on Amazon Prime. Her contributions to the show have been acclaimed by viewers and critics alike.
Further showcasing her talent, Nikki Chawla recently starred in the short film Pick Me, Through her nuanced performance, she effortlessly brought her character to life, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
She performs at spiritual centers as service to the community as she believes art feeds the soul.
BRIANNA McINERNY
Brianna McInerny is a speaker, writer, mentor, and consultant who empowers creatives and leaders to thrive as they produce more high-impact work. As a student of suicide prevention and psychology, a former mental health case manager and personal trainer, and trained energy healer, she brings a holistic approach to well-being.
